After moving to Victorville I did not have a job for 3 years, so I attended Victor Valley College. It was nice and all but I wanted to make money now. I applied to 11 different places, and got no calls back. My younger cousin and I took the ASVAB so that we could join the Army, but he was the only one that passed. So much for my luck. 2 months later I got a Call from the Scandia Manger in Victorville, and he asked me to come in for a interview. I ended up getting the job. I was always a shy guy, and I still am. While working there I became introduced to the lifestyle of partying by co-workers that were employed there at the time. I dranked and partied at least 3 times a week, and went to a house party every other week. Let me say that having a hangover is not pleasant at all. My workplace have people from different religions. One religion I never know about were the Mormon ( LDS ) religion. A handful of the people that I worked with we're of that religion, and they always tried to preach to me. I promise after this blog my next ones will be about my current life, and not the past. At first I thought that it was another made up religion, but it has been around for a very long time. As I got older I wanted to slow down, and find a religion to belong to. I tried the Buddist thing, but it wasn't for me. I went to the Johova Witness church with my Best Friend Jeffery, but again it wasn't for me. Finally I decided giving Mormonism a try. I allowed missionaries to show me The Restoration video, and then they left. I continued to party because I did not feel like being Mormon was for me. Let's go 2 years later. My friend Braden wanted me to read a Scripture in Moroni 10 verse 3 in the Book of Mormon. I went home and I prayed. The next day after work I for some reason went home early and two women knocked on my door. My cousins and I thought they were Johova Witnesses, so we pretended that we weren't home. After going back and forth as to who will open the door I finally opened the door. They were Mormon female missionaries. They shared a scripture with me and asked me to allow them to come back the following week. When they returned I told them that I read the Book Of Mormon, and that I am ready to be Baptised. 3 weeks later I made a life changing decision. On June 12, 2010 I was Baptised by Braden, and became a Member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I left my old life behind me, and started my path towards righteousness, and salvation. I don't regret it at all. I love my Savior, and all that this church stands for. Thank you all for reading. The stains on my white T shirt became clean once again.
